Award Winning Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast and working farm
in Co Fermanagh
"Dromard" means "a high ridge", and our farmhouse,
which dates back to the 18th century, is beautifully situated among
mature woodland, in the old town-land of Derry-beg, or "little
oak woods". It has been in Clive's family for over 150 years
and extends to 180 acres of farm, shore and woodland, running down
to Tamlaght Bay (part of the Lough Erne Waterway system) to
the east, and Acrussell Lough to the west.
Clive farms along broadly organic lines, without the use of artificial
fertilizers, or sprays, to produce Farm Quality Assured Aberdeen
Angus beef, mainly for Marks and Spencer.
We have many features of interest at Dromard
House, including old stone pillars, forts and a crannog which is
visible from the shore of Lough Acrussell. These were used for defence
centuries ago in less peaceful times. You can take a look at
"Our Farm" , an article
about Dromard , published in the magazine, "Agriculture
in Northern Ireland," and which gives more detail
about these various features.
Out and About
There is a warm and relaxed atmosphere, and our guests are welcome
to enjoy farm walks through the woods, right to the lake shore,
to relax and enjoy the lovely scenery and wildlife.
But perhaps our guests are the best judges ... here's what
they say:

|
|
"Friendly and so peaceful - a
real haven" |
"A little bit of Heaven" |
"Wonderful - What a find" |
